  • Recognise 4 wound bed conditions: Necrotic (Black), Sloughy (Yellow), Granulating (Red), Epithelializing (Pink)
  • Perform basic wound dressing change under nurse guidance
  • Select appropriate dressings for wound condition
  • Prevent and identify wound infection signs at home
  • Pressure injury prevention: repositioning schedule, skin assessment
  • Moisture-Associated Skin Damage (MASD) prevention

  • Hand hygiene and aseptic technique
  • Wound cleansing technique
  • Dressing application (gauze, foam, hydrocolloid, transparent film)
  • Repositioning and offloading techniques
